This
page is not an endorsement for the Seventh Day
Adventists! I am simply writing what I was shown.
I do not agree with very
many of the Adventist beliefs except for the
seventh day being the true sabbath. It is for you
to decide if there is any importance in honoring
any one day as "The Sabbath." Every day
that I worship Jesus is a "Sabbath" for
me but it does not matter how I feel when people
seek truth on the subject. (that is between you
and God) The original law is easy enough to
observe so I have no reason to oppose it or come
against the original law. However, I do have an
argument against Sunday being honored as
"The Sabbath" when it (probably) is
based on the worship of the sun god of the
Egyptians and ultimately the Sumerians. Both
civilizations and their religions preceded the 10
Commandments which were given to Moses centuries
after the established religions and gods of those
two ancient civilizations. Remember, Moses was
raised to be Egyptian and Abraham was raised as a
Sumerian.
Why was the sabbath changed
from the seventh day to the first day?
That's a good question!
I will explain it the way it
was revealed to me and is according to my belief
and understanding.
The reason God established
one day a week, the seventh day, so that
landlords, slave drivers, men in power all
honored God's command and there was nothing to
prevent HIS followers from worshipping on the
same day and there was no argument... no
choice... no discussion... it was the law of God.
There was an accepted law of order and it was to
benefit mankind. All workers were ordered and
expected to give that day to all men to worship
and worship together as families and neighbors.
Expressing God's love and teachings. TRUE ORDER!
Then Constantine and his
early church tampered with God's commandment and
weakened the law of order. They used (twisted?)
Paul's letters to do it... or that is the way it
appears.
Jesus clearly told us to
keep HIS father's laws. God told us to remember
the sabbath and to keep it holy. He did not say
to have two days. As far as I can see the sabbath
was changed to weaken the rule of order that the
Lord, God established. Pure and simple. This helped
to further divide the Jews from the Gentiles,
thus weakening God's followers. Then certain
Christians split away and chose to honor God's
commandment, another split... ever hear the old
truth; Divided we fall? We fell.
Modern day Graduates of
seminaries that are taught that Constantine was
the wonderful savior for the early Christian
church will argue this point. They argue because
men in authority tell them to do so! Any person
who is led by the Holy Spirit can see through
this fault and lie. Forget the credentials of man
given those graduates, go with the spoken truth
of God and HIS son Jesus. God said to remember
the sabbath and keep it holy and Jesus always
reminded us to keep HIS father's laws. That's
good enough for me. The modern church teaches
many things that are not scriptural.
Constantine and his council
at Nicea, 325 AD...
Constantine and his early
church leaders told the church to change it.
Constantine also allowed the pagans to bring
their holy days and practices into one faith, the
Christian faith. Constantine may have appeared to
be the founder and saviour of the Christian
church but his fruit doesn't show it.
Look around. Do you see how
the differences in doctrines, all made possible
by Constantine and his early church founders,
have weakened God's people and caused dissension.
Is that good fruit? Jesus tells us to determine
the tree by the fruit it bears. The Christians
are weak and led astray by decisions made in
those early days and they have grown more evil
with each generation. Each doctrine attacking the
others.
PHEW ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ something
stinks here! As for me? Gimme that old time
religion! Before those devils tampered with the
word of God and HIS commandments. I don't know of
any one doctrine that is pure in the word
and laws
of God. They have all been tampered with and
weakened! (You can see why Jesus sent the Holy
Spirit to lead us and teach us)
Now we are all pitted
against each other. Two different days of the
sabbath and no power. Most folks don't (really)
keep either sabbath holy. It is a day of fried
chicken, football and golf... or which ever hobby
you honor over God.
You can see the results!
Evil abounds and the people are following like
blind sheep. God and HIS son, Jesus are not happy
with you! What part do you not understand? It's
all there in the commandments. Those beautiful
rules are there to protect and keep each one of
us! Not to entrap you. Think about it. God
thought it was important enough to engrave it in
stone. I think I will honor HIS
"suggestion." Even though Paul said
otherwise, in his letter to the Colossians. About
Paul; I am afraid to trust Paul and Constantine's
decision more than Jesus, where my eternity is
concerned. Jesus did remind us many times to keep
HIS Father's commands. I am a little concerned
that Paul's letter or Constantine's motives may
be less than good for my eternal relationship
with the Creator. There is no promise from God or
HIS Son that covers you if you compromise HIS
ways or instructions for "the way to the
Kingdom."
Paul's letter to the
Collosians 2:16, among other scriptures, pretty
well did away with instructions from God to keep
the sabbath. It is logical that if you change (or
abandon) one of HIS 10 commandments, it is just a
matter of time until all of them are weak and
unenforceable. Now murder is allowed... it comes
in many forms... abortion for one, and different
degrees of murder such as "murder in the 2nd
degree," etc. If you think about it; all of
the "10" have been done away with and
rendered useless. Is there any question as to why
the world is in such terrible shape? Evil abounds
and the breaking of God's laws have allowed it!
All sanctioned by the "church."
While Paul may have been
writing about laws other than "the 10,"
it had the effect of lessening the importance of
keeping the sabbath. Did Paul mean for it to be
used in this manner? I don't know.
By the way... Constantine
and his group also elevated the letters of Paul
to be equal with the teachings of Jesus. That was
a major weakening of God's word. Paul was a
dedicated and beautiful apostle but he was a
student of Jesus' teachings. Yet doctrine
elevates his writings to the same level of those
of Jesus. Yes, Paul was under the influence of
the Holy Spirit of Jesus, as many of us are to a
lesser degree... but do not elevate any person's
teaching to that of Jesus! Get the point?
Ask yourself why most of the
New Testament is dedicated to Paul's letters? I
read that over 2/3 of the New Covenant of Jesus
(NT) consists of Paul's letters! I must admit
that it makes me wonder about "why"
Constantine based the new church (325 ad) on
Paul's letters. Read Romans 1:10 "Love
worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore
love is the fulfilling of the law." Is there any wonder where
the New Age movement gets it's authority? PHEW! I
have heard it from many devils... I have heard
the little devils from many different
doctrine/denominations begin their arguments
with;"a loving God would not do
such-and-such." They get a lot of "free
run" from "love."
Constantine was the Roman
Emperor and governing his
people was one of his goals.
Remember; Paul was a Roman citizen and he wrote
in his letter to the Romans, chapter 13...
Everyone
must submit to governing authorities. For all
authority comes from God, and those in positions
of authority have been placed there by God. 2
So anyone who rebels against authority is
rebelling against what God has instituted, and
they will be punished. 3
For the authorities do not strike fear in people
who are doing right, but in those who are doing
wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the
authorities? Do what is right, and they will
honor you. 4
The authorities are Gods servants, sent for
your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course
you should be afraid, for they have the power to
punish you. They are Gods servants, sent
for the very purpose of punishing those who do
what is wrong. 5
So you must submit to them, not only to avoid
punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.
6 Pay your taxes,
too, for these same reasons. For government
workers need to be paid. They are serving God in
what they do. 7
Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your
taxes and government fees to those who collect
them, and give respect and honor to those who are
in authority.
WOW! From the writings
above, I can see why Constantine loved Paul's
letters!
I suppose Hitler's followers
quoted the same verse? I can mention many other
demonic leaders but I won't.
I say remember the sabbath
and keep it holy as God told us. HIS Son reminds
us repeatedly to Keep HIS Father's commands.
Peter warned us that people would twist Paul's
letters. Ask yourself; How much twisting and who
did the twisting? (2 Peter 3:16)
Christians did not keep HIS
commandments and you see what has happened to the
world. A world where Christians allowed it all.
Can you see why Jesus said, "the road is
narrow and few will find the way?"
(paraphrased)
Now you know what I think.
More importantly; what do you think? Tell me.. john@john33.com
