Many
(professing) Christians really don't know the
difference between "right" and
"wrong"..... Most of them can
justify... reason... explain away their sins.....
They can rationalize the reason they
"shafted" or cheated a person out of
property, position, love, their inheritance or
whatever.....
Many
times, I have noticed, the person who wrongs you
has no knowledge of the wrongdoing because they
don't know the difference between
"right" and "wrong".....
proving..... they are not of God because God
said, "I will write my
laws upon the hearts of my people."
In other words they will know they have sinned
and ask your forgiveness.... Most of them don't
ask because they think they were right... Perhaps
they are not
God's people!
Another
point... You know, just failing to help someone
in their time of need is a sin too... If you turn
your back on them and don't feel badly or
guilty... then you obviously don't know the
difference between right and wrong... I'm talking
about those who have the resources.... People who
can well afford to help distressed, hurting
people. Now, I'm not suggesting that you sell
everything and give it to the poor... as Jesus
suggested... Only that you help the folks in your
little circle of influence.
Consider
These Scriptural Messages...
Matthew
Chapter 7....
"You can enter God's Kingdom only through
the narrow gate. The highway to hell[4]
is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who
choose the easy way. 14But
the gateway to life is small, and the road is
narrow, and only a few ever find it."
21"Not
all people who sound religious are really godly.
They may refer to me as `Lord,' but they still
won't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive
issue is whether they obey my Father in heaven. 22On
judgment day many will tell me, `Lord, Lord, we
prophesied in your name and cast out demons in
your name and performed many miracles in your
name.' 23But
I will reply, `I never knew you. Go away; the
things you did were unauthorized."
This
makes it pretty plain to me that many people here
on this earth... in this life... think they are
doing the Lord's work... but... are not!
Perhaps they have been fooled by man-made
doctrine... Doctrines that are not of the Lord's
teachings.
Not
all (or very many) who think they are of God are
of God ... most are not.
As
simple as it sounds..... it must be true. I have
observed and been cheated, conned, stolen from
and lied to by many people who profess
Christianity.
When
taken into the confidence of these types of
people I have noticed that they place themselves
(see themselves) in a very "righteous"
position.... While placing the person they sinned
against in a very lowly, "sinner's"
position, thereby, justifying their wrong action
towards the (imagined) lesser person. They
actually justify their sin and may even go so far
as to point to a scripture (which usually is
taken out of context) to prove their innocence
and justify the reason for turning their backs on
the needy.... Many times they find fault with the
person who is facing a crisis. They point out
that it is (her or his) fault because of ~ ~ ~ ~
(could be any reason) therefore it is not their
burden to help the needy person....
WHY?
because the laws of God are not written on their
hearts. Remember? God said, "I will write my
laws on the hearts of my
people." They
are not His
people. Remember, Jesus said "The road is
narrow and few will enter."
Many
go to their grave thinking they are saved or
born-again when in fact they were fooled by some
man-made doctrine. "You will know them by
the fruit they bear."
I
have seen it so many times.... even though they
are not saved or born-again, they profess it and
this hurts the truly righteous community. It
really hurts those persons
because they are unknowingly
not of God. Yet their man-made doctrine insures
them that if they do certain things they are
guaranteed admittance into the Kingdom.
Remember:
Some so-called Christians don't know the
difference between right and wrong, so don't be
too perplexed when it hits you right in the face
that someone you trusted,,,, wrongs you.
Get
the idea? Not all are saved, born-again or of
God... who think they are.
So,
instead of blaming "the church" for
housing a bunch of hypocrites...
Simply realize those who work evil.... simply are
not of God and they are there in "the
church" as unknowing counterfeits. The
working of evil includes failing to act when it
is well within your power to help someone.
James,
2.17...
"So
you see, it isn't enough just to have faith.
Faith that doesn't show itself by good deeds is
no faith at all--it is dead and useless."
If
you are blessed with money and material
possessions and you have family, friends,
Christian brothers/sisters who have fallen on
"hard times".... Help them! Don't turn
your back on them. If you don't help them and you
don't feel guilty.... you probably don't know the
difference between right and wrong. It's a pretty
good sign that God has not written his laws on
your heart.... thereby proving, you
are not His people.
However,
if you help them just because you are supposed to
and resent
it.... take a look at yourself. God loves a
cheerful giver, one who wants to help. Not a
person who gives because it makes him look good
in the eyes of "the church" or fellow
church/society members. Then there's the very
affluent who give for tax deductions, etc... That
doesn't count either.
In
my opinion: Some misfortunate animals and people
are put here....
in your path.... for your test. When you lend a
helping hand to an animal, one of God's creatures
and you know that animal can't repay you....
or.... when you help an unfortunate person who
can't do anything for you...
You have passed the test.
Do
you realize that very few people are truly
charitable and are willing to lend a helping
hand.... Our society sends a lot of money out of
country because of the sales pitch perpetrated by
professional fund raisers.... yet this same
society ignores the person down the street who is
losing their home. Go figure???
Will
you pass the test? Will you know the difference
between RIGHT and WRONG?
FINAL
NOTE...
Perhaps this last paragraph proves this entire
page worthless...
What do you think?
Those
of you who know the difference between right and
wrong (me included) read; Luke - Chapter 12 -
Verse 48..... Looks like we're graded on a
"curve".... (Just when you think you've
got it figured... the word of God puts us in
place!)
So you don't have to go to your bible... here it
is... Luke... 12... Verse... 48
48"But
people who are not aware that they are doing
wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is
required from those to whom much is given, and
much more is required from those to whom much
more is given.
How
far reaching is the scripture above? I leave that
up to you and your personal thoughts.
Just
my thoughts.....
Your
Friend,
John
